The Red Epic Dragon 6K camera is the latest version of the Epic-M DSMC. The Red Epic Dragon is equipped with a very impressive 19 Megapixel sensor that has about 16.5 stops of dynamic range. This is a huge step up from the previous version that had a 13.8 Megapixel sensor.

The sensor size is 30.7mm x 15.8mm. The Red Epic Dragon records in a proprietary compressed RAW format, REDCODE RAW with different compression ratios, from 3:1 (least compressed) to 18:1 (the most compressed) which should be used if you want to shoot at a very high frame rate. When shooting in 6K the frame rate goes up to 85fps and when shooting in 2K it can go up to 300fps.

In any resolution, the available frame rates are: 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 47.96, 48, 50, 59.94 fps

The camera’s base ISO is 250 and you can go up to 2000 ISO and still get a clean image.

The Red Epic Dragon is built of aluminum alloy and weighs 5lbs. Our Red Epic Dragon comes with an EF mount.
